Blue Diamond Workers United

Union activists interrupted Blue Diamond CEO Doug Youngdahl's presentation at the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council Congress in Madrid May 12. They took the stage with a large banner that read, "For union organization and freedom at Blue Diamond!" Around 30 leaders and activists from Spain's two main union federations, two dock workers' unions and a farm workers' union came to Madrid to back the Blue Diamond workers' right to organize.
